CREATIVE LIFT agency / UNION BANK

After the Great Recession, Union Bank sought to separate themselves from the Lehman Bros. and Goldman Sachses of the world.


We positioned them as a neighborhood bank with an emphasis on helping families and individuals.


I created a series of word puzzles with their big red "U" logo as the answer. The anchor line "Let's fill in the blanks together" is both figurative and literal (as in, paperwork.)

Fall "Wow" campaign



PREZI – "WOW" campaign


"In sales and marketing, it's WOW or never."

I came up with that line to solidify Prezi's position as the exciting, engaging way to win clients when it really matters.


Rather than sell presentation software, we decided to sell "WOW!" We packaged it up in cans and cartons and built a grocery-store display around it at Dreamforce.

Back To School



WALMART STORES- "Back to School" campaign As part of Walmart's seasonal campaign team, I developed the themes "Best in class" and "Do the math." We ended up pitching "Do the math" as a way to emphasize savings, but corporate ultimately settled on a simple "Back to school" message. Oh, well. What you see here are just comps.

As part of Walmart's seasonal campaign team, I developed the theme "Give better" — a riff on the company's "Save money, live better" tagline.


I wanted to create a warm, festive mood with an emphasis on what's possible when your money goes farther.

Beasts of Boredom



PREZI – "Beasts of Boredom" campaign


"Vanquish the beasts of boredom."

"Defeat dull presentations."

"Are you ready to start killing it?"


To support our position as the way to fight slide-deck fatigue, we created a series of goofy monsters, each with its own sinister way of making presentations suck. Prezi is the sword of virtue that helps presenters "kill it."


I wrote landing pages, ads on city buses, emails, and other collateral. Our Dreamforce exhibit won "Most Memorable."

"Presenting Now" campaign



PREZI – "Presenting Now" campaign

With this campaign, we went directly after PowerPoint, our biggest competitor. Lines such as "Presenting now," "Quit your pitching," and "Make a more powerful point" called out the obsolescence of old-school slide decks. The lines appeared in emails, landing pages, marketing collateral, and on the sides of city buses.
